Well, gentlemen, the summer is over. We are entering the fall, the IronOaks golf courses are entering the overseeding period and some of our winter visitors have already returned from their summer homes. We can expect some cooler mornings and more members signing up to play.

Niners Golf During the Overseed Period. Ironwood Golf Course, Palms course and all IronOaks practice facilities will be closed from September 24 until October 15, 2018. From September 15 to November 4, 2018, Oakwood’s Lakes and Sonoran courses will be closed. Niners play days September 27, October 4 and October 11, 2018, are cancelled. Niners play will resume on the Palms course on Thursday, October 18, 2018, with a Scramble format on the Palms, cart path only. The scramble format will continue on the Palms for October 25 and November 1, 2018, cart path only. Our regular game and course rotation will resume on November 8, 2018.

Our course Superintendent Ross Buckendahl provides a great deal of information and explains the procedures and methods of caring for the IronOaks golf courses.
