Passing of Bob Deken
It is with great sadness that I must report on the passing of our friend and longtime league member Bob Deken. Bob was a great guy and golf partner. He was a two-league golfer, the Niners and IMGA.
Bob joined the Niners in 2008 and made a lot of friends very quickly. He was a ready volunteer for our league and the community, having served several terms as treasurer, game manager, and most recently, as special assistant to President Jerry Richards.
Bob cared about the IronOaks community, which led him to serve on the HOA board as a member, treasurer, and president. During his time on the HOA board, the community lost its general manager. Bob stepped up, volunteered, and ran the operations until a new general manager was hired. Bob will be missed by the league members and his golfing buddies.
We offer our deepest condolences to Bob’s wife Victoria and to all the members of the Deken family. You are in our prayers.
