The Scandinavian Club invites you to attend its monthly meeting on February 17 at the Sun Lakes clubhouse. A meet and greet social hour will begin at 5:00 p.m. with cheese, crackers, pickled herring and a cash bar. If you’ve never tasted pickled herring, now is your chance. You may discover you’ve been missing out on a real treat. At 6:00 p.m., the chef and catering staff will serve a delicious “Kansas City Cookout” dinner consisting of pulled pork, mashed potatoes, garden salad with house dressing, coleslaw and dessert (if you still have room for it!). At 7:00 p.m., the program will begin.

Each month, a program is presented on topics relevant to those of Scandinavian heritage or those with an interest in Scandinavia. (We don’t discriminate!) All are welcome to come and enjoy an evening out making new friends, catching up with old friends, having a delicious meal and being entertained by a program. The evening will end at 8:00 p.m., leaving plenty of time to catch your favorite Sunday evening TV show.

Since this is a catered dinner, reservations must be made ahead of time – February 11 is the cut-off date. Dinners are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. To make a reservation, contact Jerry Johnson by calling 612-817-9670 or by emailing [email protected]. If you make a reservation and are unable to attend, we appreciate receiving your payment, as the club is charged for your dinner.

Velkommen! We looked forward to seeing you on the 17th!
