Please welcome your new treasurer for 2019. His name is Duane. He is married, but his wife will not allow us to use her name.

Our first two events have turned out to be a big success. We are averaging around 100 golfers per event. Also, our weather guy has come through for us both times and promises to come through again.

A lot of us, make that a lot of you, probably received a lot of new golf equipment for Christmas. What better way to break it in than while making some new friends? If you join and don’t like it, I will give you a free skydiving lesson just as soon as I pass the test. This will be my third try. All kidding aside, well some kidding aside, we have a great group of people. We do not play golf and then go home and say see you in two weeks. We party. We have an after-golf dinner and drinks. The $38 fee covers the dinner for two and the prize money that is awarded to your account of chits maintained in the Oakwood clubhouse.
