Oakwood Nine Hole Couples Golf League ended a great season of golf on May 5. We had a surge in our membership, wonderful afternoons of golf and new friendships formed. We want to thank all our league members for a successful year, and we look forward to another awesome season beginning in November.
We want to congratulate the winners who participated on April 14 in the “4-Person Cha Cha Cha” game, which was played on the Sonoran Course:
1st Place – Mike and Barbara Stewart/George and Nancy Heberling
2nd Place – (tie) Len and Rena Dolins/Dale and Sharma Goodwin and Dick and Helen Harrold/Dave Krediet and Barb Sletto
4th Place – (tie) Gaylord Lind and Dottie Meade/Chuck and Mary Medved and Murray and Connie Luther/Garry and Linda Breitbach

On April 28, the Nine Hole Couples Golf League played a 4-Person Scramble on the Lakes Course. Winners for the April 28 tournament were:

2nd Place – (tie) Mike and Patty Partridge/Pat and Sue O’Connell, Ed and Linda Schnaible/Murray and Connie Luther, Doug and Gladys Chirhart/Dave and Sandy Krediet and Garry and Linda Breitbach/Jim and Vicki Mendenhall

The Chandler High School Girls Golf Team, their coach and athletic director joined the league for dinner on the 28th. Throughout the season, the league had been participating in a 50/25/25 raffle to raise money for the Girl’s Golf Team. We were proud to present the coach with a check for $750 to help defray costs incurred during their season.
