January and February have been wonderful weather-wise this year, and the Oakwood Nine Holes Couples League is continuing with a strong season. We have enjoyed large turnouts for Friday afternoon golf, and our theme of “Fun, Food, Fellowship and Maybe a Little Golf” still holds true.

On January 12, the Nine Hole Couple’s Golf League participated in a 4-Person – 1 Best Net from Each Couple on the Sonoran Course. We want to congratulate the winners:

1st Place – Jan and Vinnie Riek/Carol and Bill Knack (Score 57)

2nd Place – (tie) Sandy and Bill Brudvik/Denise and Mark Fleshner (Score 59) and Len Dolins/Blind Draw/Deborah and Tom Greenwood (Score 59)

4th Place – Pat and Tom Blier/Judy and Fred Thompson (Score 60)

On January 26, the Nine Hole Couples Golf League enjoyed an afternoon of golf by participating in a Couple’s Scramble/Switch Partners on the Lakes course. Winners for the January 26 tournament were:

2nd Place – (3-way tie) Sandy and Dave Krediet/Mary and Chuck Medved (Score 66), Vickie and Jim Mendenhall/Jean and Steve Karich (Score 66) and Joan and Bob Hiller/Blind Draw (Score 66)

5th Place – (tie) Denise and Mark Fleshner/Maureen and Michael Krol (Score 67) and Judy and Fred Thompson/Debra and Kim Fliethamn (Score 67)
