On April 11 the Oakwood Nine-Hole Couples League presented the Chandler High School Girls Golf League with a check for $2,000. Accepting the check were Jim Culver, director at Chandler High School; Jaden Fontana and Ellie Craig, Chandler Golf League participants; and Ralph Baldenegro, team coach.
Our league also collected more than 100 golf clubs of various makes and models, hundreds of golf balls, 12 beautiful golf bags, and other accessories used for golf. They were overwhelmed with the generosity of our league. Thank you, members, for donating to the cause.
By the time you read this article, many of our winter visitors will be back or heading back to their other homes. Our season runs from November through the first week of May. It has been a very successful year, and we look forward to seeing all of you again, ready to have some fun, collect contributions, and play some golf next season. Thanks to Lloyd Schaeffer, Judy Thompson, Judy Hedding, Greg Gustafson, and Carol Benford for leading us through 2026. You are a great team, and we thank you!
