With only two events remaining for the season for the Oakwood Nine Hole Couples League, everyone has been excited about the year. The group has almost doubled in size by living up to its motto: Fun, Fellowship, Good Food and Drink and by the way Golf.

The highlight of the year was the first annual social for the group held on March 27; 46 people gathered at the home of John and JoAnne Gaudioso for a wonderful evening of storytelling and fun. Susan Schaeffer, JoAnne Gaudioso and Dolly Giallonardo served as the planning committee and did a great job. Outstanding barbecue was provided by Joe’s Barbecue and beverages flowed freely. A special thank you to John and JoAnne for opening their home for our event!

Winners for March 13 were the Dolins, Luthers, Reidls and Serolds; winners for March 27 were the Giallonardos and the Harrolds.

Next year’s schedule which will include events on alternating Fridays and other pertinent data will be available as we approach next season.
