The special event in February was our Club Championship, which was held on Feb. 9, 16, and 23. The total low gross was used each week. Our club champion was Eun Yoon with a three-week score of 237. Congratulations to her! Flight 1 winner was Carolyn Marchuk, 2nd Judy Darnell, tied for 3rd were Mary Perry, Barb Arakelian, and Mary Figgis. Flight 2 winners were 1st Glo Malmberg, 2nd Sue Pederson, and 3rd Colleen Ritter. Flight 3: 1st Julie Hastings, 2nd Linda Thrash, 3rd Judy Hanna. Flight 4: 1st Pat Schepp, 2nd Susie LaSalvia, and tied for 3rd JoAnn Rebillard and Linda Anderson.

On Feb. 16 the POD was ODD’S. The Flight 1 winner was Cindy Reinertsen. Three players tied for 2nd. They were EJ Yoon, Carolyn Marchuk, and Barbara Arakelian. Flight 2: Colleen Ritter and BJ Schuller tied for 1st place, and Barb Dinardo placed 3rd. Flight 3: 1st place Nancy Cohn, and tied for 2nd were Judy Hanna and Julie Hastings. Flight 4: Beth Ebmeier, Joan Lauer, and Liz Pritchard tied for 1st place. Flight 5: 1st place Susan La Salvia, 2nd place Pamela Powers, and 3rd Dessa Hutchins.

Play of the Day on Feb. 23 was Net pars or Better. In Flight 1 there was a two-way tie for 1st. They were Barb Arakelian and Carolyn March. EJ Yoon and Cindy Reinsertsen tied for 3rd. Flight 2 winner was Dolly Eide, 2nd Colleen Ritter, and 3rd Shirley Weaver. Flight 3 winner was Holley Ritter, 2nd Kay Lehmkuhl, and tied for 3rd were Julie Hastings and Nancy Cohn. Flight 4 winner was Doris Swanson, 2nd Janey Garibay, tied for 3rd were Pat Schepp and Joan Lauer. Flight 5 winner was Linda Anderson, 2nd Susan LaSalvia, 3rd Dessa Hutchins.

March started with a fun Play of the Day of Cha Cha Cha on the 2nd. The winning team was Sue Peterson, Bev Chipman, Kathy Burns, and Cindy Paskey. Second place team was Debbie Wood, Debbie Horner, Gail Moen, and Mary Ann Woodward. Three teams tied for third. They were Mary Figgis, Nancy Cohn, Kay Lehmkukl, and Blind Draw; also: Blind Draw, Julie Hastings, Barbara Anderson, and Sue Richmond; also: Leslie Smith, Shirley Weaver, Susan La Salvia, and Karen Beltz.

On March 9 we were able to have our Member/Guest which had been postponed from 2020. Results of that tournament will be in the next Splash. Until then, stay safe and happy golfing!
