The Ocotillo Women’s League (OWL) was honored to present a donation in the amount of $8,400 to the Starbright Foundation. The Starbright Foundation is the OWL’s designated charity to receive the proceeds from the Jan. 26 Fashion Show Luncheon. Starbright Foundation, a 501(c)(3), serves children in abusive situations and exploitation, offering extended services to foster children and those in crisis.
Our Spring Luncheon dates are April 20 and May 18, held in the Oakwood ballroom in Sun Lakes. The April luncheon will feature a Build Your Own Salad Bar, corn chowder, rolls, and brownies, plus coffee and iced tea. The reservation deadline is April 9. Jackie Lopez will entertain us with a Roaring Twenties “Speakeasy” selection of songs, reflecting on the 1920s Prohibition era. Don’t worry, no secret password is required!
