Pictured are the winners of our Feb. 11 Fewest Putts. Both Ilene Ouradnik and Patrice Cox came in first place with 14 putts. Great putting, ladies! Your ball behaves better for you on the green than mine. My ball goes where it wants, not where I want it to go.

During the month of February, the heat was turned on in both the weather and our golfing. We enjoyed a variety of games and had a congenial time playing them with different foursomes. That is one of our goals with the Palo Verde Lady Niners (PVLN) informal golf group: to meet new golfing friends by playing with different ladies every week. If we hit one or, hopefully, two good balls one Wednesday, then we are good and ready for the next week.
Our end of the season party will be on April 8. Please sign up for this event at the Pro Shop and volunteer to help make this event successful. We will continue to golf on Wednesday afternoons after this party, but some of our golfers will be returning to northern homes, so we will party before they leave!
Since the Splash deadline is the 10th of the month before the publication month, our results are always two months in arrears. In February the games and winners were as follows:

If you would like to have a leisurely and fun golf game, think about joining us on Wednesday afternoons at Palo Verde. We start our tee times at 2:30 p.m. You will have a good time, work on your golf game, and make some new friends. If you want to start learning golf, then this is the group for you. Call the Palo Verde Pro Shop by Monday of the week to sign up for the Wednesday game.
And don’t forget that our 10th hole is on the Palo Verde patio where we rehash our game over a glass of wine or other libation and have a hilarious good time socializing!
Quote of the month: “I don’t slice. I explore the entire golf course and donate my balls to nature.”
