Ask anyone and they will tell you they’d like to see more peace in the world. Usually that means they ought to change and then I will be more peaceful. What if I was to suggest that peace in the world really is an inner journey? The more peace you and I can manage in our own lives literally contributes to peace on earth.
As John Lennon’s song Imagine suggests, “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you will join us and the world will live as one.
John Lennon gave us the vision and now it is up to us to carry the message. Do you know someone who seems calm in the midst of chaos and think to yourself, “I want to be like that!” I hope you will join us this spring in a beautiful desert retreat setting to explore how we may do just that.
“Let Peace be your Guide” is a retreat for seekers of the inner journey of peace. Participants will be supported through ceremony, dancing, laughing, journaling, contemplation, meditation, Reiki, drumming and reflection to find their own special way to peace. You will be encouraged to let go of that which no longer serves your inner peace and to embrace new ways to peace. As awareness rises, imagine being nurtured by strolling through the desert landscape noticing the many places that peace does exist.
Your hosts for the Equinox weekend on March 20–22 are Catharina Cupples, Lois Valleau and Sarah Kelzenberg. The retreat begins late Friday afternoon continuing through Sunday afternoon at the Desert Rose Bahai Institute in Eloy, Arizona. It includes two nights’ lodging and six delicious meals plus all activities. The retreat fee is $375.
