6/07. Our debilitating temperatures this month have caused us to increase our consumption of water and other liquids. A record 115 degrees was tolerated except for several days causing many golfers to abandon their Tuesday golfing. The results of the O-N-E-S Tournament are as follows: 1st Jan Nelson and Paula Elbery, 3rd Mary Fitzke; Flight Two: Liz Demichael, 2nd Liz Cambell and Dolores Mahaffey

6/14. Criers Tournament – Flight One: 1st Judy Daidone and Paula Elbery, 3rd Ann Hammond; Flight Two: Jan Bazzill, Kathy Bushbaum and Kathy Jones

6/15. The winning team of our first summer league was Elaine Osborne, Carol Ruff, Diane Grosse and Pat Schultz. The second team winners were Vicki Carmichael, Cindy Bosch, Cindy Reed and Rita Raymond; M J Boscomb, Tammy Visser, Marci Kommelmaa and Jan Bazzill (all tied). Thank you Susan Lamb for your concise planning of our summer league. Our luncheon and distribution of winnings took place in PV main dining room.

6/21. Even Holes – Flight One: 1st Bonnie Moore, 2nd Cindy Bosch, 3 (tie) Carol Ruff and Judy Daidone; Flight Two: 1st Naomi Bryson, 2nd Pat Schultz, 3rd Rita Raymond

6/28. The putting greens (as usual) caused us to pay strict attention to our putting strokes. The fewest putts was won with a three-way tie between Cindy Bosch, Judy Daidone and Jan Nelson; Flight two winners were 1st Camille Jasien, 2nd (tie) Carol Elliot and Pat Schultz

Hopefully our temperatures for the month of July will be moderate and give us some relief from the heat. Talk to you next month.
