Wow! The ladies of PVLGA and their guests had a “hog-killin’ time” on April 8 at their annual Member/Guest Tournament. Everyone dressed in western duds and armed themselves with woods and irons in order to make a killin’ on the course. Along the trail, golfers encountered Sheriff Marty Snodgrass who made it tough to get away with rustling cattle or misfiring your water gun! Further on down the trail, Major, the horse behind hole 17, was a perfect photo opportunity! Thank you to the Poulson family for lending us your pet horse. Once the trail ride was completed and scores were recorded, the gang gathered in the Palo Verde barn for chow and moonshine! The big surprise of the event was our one and only “singing cowboy” Assistant Pro Erin Hatcher, serenading everyone with his choice of cowboy songs, including one written and performed by our event chairlady Roz Pederson!
Thank you to all the volunteers and players! It will be hard to top this one, cowgirls!
