Reiki is a healing art that is centuries old. The ki within it is the very life force energy that is within every living thing. Those of us who embrace Reiki know that this energy brings balance and harmony to oneself and others. Reiki balances our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual selves. It’s when we get out of balance and harmony that physical complaints may appear.
Most recently, I have been struggling to maintain balance and harmony mentally and emotionally. I was raised in an Army family who moved around a lot but always knew that we belonged to the United States of America. On my 21st birthday, I went to the election office and became registered to vote. It was such a proud moment for me. Now I could use my voice through voting to create the America in which I wanted to live. Sometimes I was happy with the outcome and sometimes a bit disappointed. Yet I knew that when we all spoke, our country listened to the majority. That is why it is so very important that we all vote.
What matters most is that we all have a voice in how our country is run. That’s why all this talk about an election that may not be fair has distressed me. A friend and I decided to use Reiki to bring balance and harmony to this situation and to us. This is our intention: “Every eligible American who chooses to vote does so easily and safely. The U.S. Postal Service is dedicated to supporting a fair and equitable election, and the postal workers are vested in that outcome. All votes are accurately counted and tabulated, and every candidate, including presidential candidates, abide by the election results.”
I repeat this intention every morning and evening and several times during the day. I have sent Reiki to it as well. Knowing the power of Reiki, I’m grateful to have it supporting us.
