Representative Steve Montenegro currently serves as the Majority Leader in the Arizona House of Representatives. He was elected to the Arizona House of Representatives representing LD13 in November 2008. His primary issues include education, government transparency, protecting Second Amendment rights, and fiscal responsibility. Rep. Montenegro is a District Representative in the office of Congressman Trent Franks, Arizona’s Second Congressional District. He was previously a teacher at the Arizona Charter Academy and Superior School in Surprise, AZ. He spent five years as president of Arizona Messengers of Peace and is now treasurer of the National Messengers of Peace. Rep. Montenegro is an advisory board member of the Arizona Charter Academy along with serving as a trustee of the Arizona Christian University.
