Benefits Assistance Counselors from the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) and the Area Agency on Aging are trained to provide phone and in-person informational support to seniors regarding Social Security, Medicare, and AZ State benefits. Volunteer training is twice per year in March and June, five days, once a week on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. To register for the next class, call 602-241-6118 or email [email protected]. Training is provided in the Phoenix office. Volunteering is from home and local community centers.
