Givens’ last book, Maui Christmas, was published in March, 2020, and Running Horse Ranch was published in 2018. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America, and the recipient of the prestigious IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) Award of Excellence. A native Californian, Givens has traveled extensively and now lives in Arizona.
Sun Lakes Resident Featured in Chicken Soup for the Soul
Violetta Armour, a Sun Lakes resident, has two stories published in recent editions of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. The first is in Christmas Is in the Air, 101 Stories About the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Her essay, “A Silver Lining,” is in the Treasured Traditions section. The second is in Age Is Just a Number, 101 Tales of Humor for Life After 60. It is in The New Normal section and entitled “Showing Up,” an essay about her love affair with pickleball.
Violetta has had other publications in Chicken Soup for the Soul through the years, and is also the author of four published books, including the award-winning, I’ll Always Be with You.
She has written a sequel, Still with You, and two mysteries: A Mahjongg Mystery and S’mores Can Be Deadly. All of the above books are available at Amazon.com.
