Memory Café, held each Monday at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, offers a free weekly support and engagement session for families living with dementia or cognitive change. We are looking for fun, engaging, and creative volunteer teachers to present a 60- to 70-minute class to our engagement session. Participants are interested, interactive, and love the stimulation of relatable information. Classes we currently offer that have been thoroughly enjoyed have been on music and movement, Lawrence Welk, the Hubble telescope, the 1964 World’s Fair, the history of quilting, fighter jets, Norman Rockwell, Frank Lloyd Wright, and different art modalities.
