The Sun Lakes Roadrunners RV Club monthly meeting is scheduled for April 9, 2019, in the Navajo Room at the Sun Lakes Country Club. Social time with refreshments begins at 6:30 p.m. The business meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. and is usually finished by 8:00 p.m.

Thirty-two members enjoyed a dining-out social on February 20 at the Cornish Pasty Company. The March schedule included the monthly business meeting on March 12, a rally in Wickenburg on March 19-21 and a second rally at the Usery Mountain Park on March 28-30.

Wagon masters who led the Wickenburg rally included Bob and Diane Stephens, Jim and Mary Ruddy, Bob and Sharon Edmunds and Paul and Mary Glaser. The Wickenburg area offered a western flare to numerous activities such as ghost and mine tours, hiking, museums, golf, shopping and restaurants.

Wagon masters who organized the Usery Mountain Park included Dan and Pat Prekel, Larry and Hazel Rix, Paul and Mary Glaser and Tom and Jan Hinzpeter. The first evening, the group enjoyed dinner and entertainment at Barleens Dinner Show in Apache Junction. The second evening found the participants looking skyward during the special stargazing event.

April will be another busy month with the annual “Spring Fling” picnic scheduled for April 6 at the Sisk Park. The monthly club meeting on April 9 will be followed by a fun rally scheduled for April 10-14 at Laughlin, Nevada. Wagon masters for the Laughlin rally include Betty Lauer, Rich Pavlak, Dale and Roz Nolan and Terry and Sharon Wilson.

The Sun Lakes Roadrunners RV Club meets the second Tuesday of each month in October, November and January through May. Meetings take place in the Navajo Room at the Sun Lakes Country Club.
