Our first meeting of the season, held on Oct. 9, was well attended. Club members unanimously voted to have the club become a chapter of FRVA (Family RV Association). While maintaining the autonomy of a stand-alone Sun Lakes club, we gain valuable chapter benefits, including liability insurance, medical/travel assistance, and opportunities to attend nationwide FRVA rallies and expos.
Our next club meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. at the Sun Lakes Oakwood Country Club in the Poolside Activity building (24218 S. Oakwood Blvd.). To make things fun, we will be having a potluck food event at this meeting. Join us as we plan events and trips for the season.
Our club meets monthly from October through May (except December) on the second Thursday of each month in the Oakwood Poolside Room. Mark your calendars for Nov. 13, Jan. 8, Feb. 12, March 12, April 9, and May 14. Save the date of Monday, Dec. 8, for our annual Christmas Party at the Palo Verde clubhouse in Sun Lakes.
Interested in learning more or becoming a member? Membership is open to anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing and who is 55 years old or older. Membership is not limited to Sun Lakes residents. We welcome other neighboring communities as well.
