Roadrunners take over Quartzite

It was like herding cats to get all these folks together for the picture at Quartzite, but we did it! A good time was had by all.

Jan Skibo, Secretary

The Sun Lakes Roadrunners RV Club descended on Quartzite at the end of January with the largest Quartzite rally in recent memory. More than 30 RV’s circled the wagons and enjoyed wonderful food, great weather (it was a little windy one day) and, well, with 60 plus people who like to have fun, how can you miss? Thanks to wagon masters Len and Ruby Meyer, Wayne and Marty Wheeldon and Randy and Kay Berner for all their work. Everyone really enjoyed the time, especially the moon over Quartzite!

By the time you read this, we will be on the rally to Casa Grande and the Cactus Fly-in. Pictures and details will be in next month’s Splash. Suffice it to say, we had fun. After the Casa Grande rally, we have a couple of social events at San Tan Flats and the Arizona Opry.

Join us at our monthly meetings, the second Tuesday of each month. We have a social period beginning at 6:30 p.m. with our meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. We meet in the Navajo Room at the Sun Lakes Country Club. If you own a recreational vehicle and enjoy meeting like-minded people, we encourage you to see what we are all about. The next meeting is March 10.
