Roots N’ Boots: More than a rodeo

Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek is celebrating its fifth anniversary event March 6-8 at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre. Presented by Banner Ironwood Medical Center, this three-day event offers a PRCA Rodeo, vendors, a carnival, live entertainment, a rodeo dance and multiple free family activities for all ages.

Three rodeo performances will be held in the covered arena at 7:00 p.m. on both Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 and at 3:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday, March 8. Tickets sell out fast, so purchasing online is recommended through the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center at www.qcpac.com. Prices are $15.50 per adult general admission and $7 for children 12 and under. A Family Pack including two adult and two children general admission tickets is $40. Box seats are $22.50 and general admission for active military (with an ID) is $10. Gates open two hours prior to the start of each rodeo performance.

Roots N’ Boots also includes a number of free family-friendly events including a petting zoo, a draft horse exhibition and dog agility performances, as well as an RV show, Teen Xtreme Rodeo and a Family Rodeo. Parking is just $5.

A full-size carnival will be open Friday, March 6 from 3:00 p.m.-midnight, Saturday, March 7 from 9:00 a.m.–midnight and Sunday, March 8 from 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Pre-sale wristbands are priced at $18 each.
