Don Robins joined Sun Lakes Rotary Club in October, 2005. He was an engineer with General Motors for 40 years before retiring in 2000.

Because of his outstanding work with “A World of Motion,” Don was named Rotarian of the Month of December.

Don is the Phoenix Area Coordinator for “A World in Motion,” a teacher-administered, industry volunteer-assisted program that brings science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education to life in the classroom for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. Benchmarked to the national standards, the AWIM program incorporates integrated STEM learning experiences through hands-on activities that reinforce classroom STEM learning.

Don, as Director of Sun Lakes Rotary’s Educational Services, spearheads AWIM activities, directing others within the club in working with the elementary schools throughout the Chandler Unified School District.

Don and his wife Judith live in Ironwood. They have two children and one  grandchild.
