Get fixin’ for fun and head on over to the Women’s Connection on Thursday, April 10, at 10 a.m. This country morning program includes coffee, tea, pastries, and fruit. Gluten-free is available upon request. The fee of $22 (tax and gratuity included) cash or check (payable to Sun Lakes Women’s Connection or SLWC) is payable at the door of the Oakwood Country Club Kingston Ballroom located at 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd., Sun Lakes, Ariz.
Paula Abbott from Terrell, Texas, teaches and mentors people in all walks of life around the United States. She is an author of three books and is part of Life Network for Women. She will share her dramatic story of how she went from shattered dreams to a beautiful life in her talk entitled “Story of a Texas Cowgirl That Went from Broken to Beautiful.” Western wear is optional.
Mona McDonald, a native Arizonan, is an advocate of “Preparing for Tomorrow Today.” She educates older adults and their families to face life transitions with peace and purpose. She is active in leading workshops titled Project Ready or Not. Come hear how we can be more effective with our time, gifts, finances, relationships, and passions, no matter what season of life we are in. There will be time for questions and answers.
Lynne Hartke, our February guest speaker, returns this month as our vocal soloist. She will present two vocal numbers with her guitar accompaniment. During the coffee/tea and chat time from 9:30 to 10 a.m., the 12-member Keyboard Connection will be playing familiar tunes from Broadway and other popular tunes.
