San Tan Crown Rotary Club needs volunteers

San Tan Crown Rotary club, the afternoon Rotary club in Sun Lakes, is asking Sun Lakes residents to help with “hands on” projects at Fans Across America and Chandler Christian Community Center this fall 2016.

Fans Across America is a non-profit organization located in Chandler that aids homeless students, families in transition and victims of domestic violence. George Macedon, president of Fans, is a member of San Tan Crown Rotary. George was the winner of the 2016 Community Cup awarded by the Chandler Chamber of commerce. Visit Fans website at http://www.fansacrossamerica.org.

Chandler Christian Community Center has been changing lives for 50 years by nourishing minds and bodies. Since rapidly expanding services beyond the food bank to include Community Action Program, Family Resource Center, Chandler and Gilbert Senior Centers, and I-HELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program), CCCC continues to change more lives in the Southeast Valley. Dan Albertson, San Tan Crown Rotary Club past president, is a full time team member at CCCC. Visit their website at http://chandlerfoodbank.org.

San Tan Crown Rotary has a long history of volunteering our manpower with both of these organizations by spending two to four hours working onsite at each organization. Starting this fall, San Tan Crown Rotary has committed to helping at least once a month. If you would like to help you can sign up at the club’s website at http://santancrownrotary.com/ for specific projects that will be detailed on the clubs website or call current club President Tom Adamson at 480-895-8545. Transportation will be provided.
