On Friday, April 22, representatives of the San Tan Crown Rotary Club gathered at the Chandler C.C.C. on California Ave. in central Chandler to present a check to the Center’s CEO, Trinity Donovan. A total of $3,000 will be directed at providing one and a half month’s supply of fresh milk for their daily food bank. In addition, these funds will go toward the purchase of $2,000 worth of day bus passes that are used by the homeless and unemployed who are supported by the Center. These passes allow clients of the Center to ride to employment interviews, ride to and from doctor’s offices, and in some cases assist food bank clients ride miles home without having to walk with their groceries.

On this day our Rotary volunteers helped distribute food to over 100 needy families. We felt blessed to be able to help. The San Tan Crown Rotary Club is also active in supporting the needs of area veterans through Arizona Stand Down and through a fund raising motorcycle ride, Hooked on Healing Veterans (www.healingvets.org). We also work closely with FANS Across America, a Chandler not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing daily living necessities for homeless students, families in transition, and victims of domestic violence. If you are interested in finding out more about our club and how you can get involved in supporting the community in which we live, please call Tom Adamson 480-895-8545.
