Savvy Travelers Club: Summer News You Can Use

Terry Clark, Jeanette Rajamaki, and Beverly Herring at Kinkaku-ji, or Temple of the Golden Pavilion, in Japan

Twenty-four Savvy Travelers (many from Sun Lakes) spent more than two weeks in Japan. It’s a wonderful country with clean cities and polite and respectful people. We loved our day in Busan, South Korea. We had many custom tours, which were nice and small. Oceania on the cruise portion was outstanding, with great restaurants and excellent food! We recommend Japan. Celebrity also has some great trips to Japan.

Currently, folks are traveling to a lot of the northern part of the world—many to Alaska—doing unique cruise tours like both the Yukon and the Denali as far as Dawson Creek this summer. Four or five groups are doing Iceland and Greenland with Viking and Celebrity. Five couples are doing the 14-day Best of Norway with Holland America. Folks are doing the British Isles with Princess and Viking.

Folks thinking of getting away for the holidays need to book now, as airfare to the East Coast and Caribbean is getting crazy high, and hotels are selling out. Especially if you want the big entertainment ships like Royal Caribbean and Celebrity with thousands of people, you need to call me early. If not for this winter, then for 2025. Remember, my number is 602-909-2000 here in Sun Lakes.

Oceania world cruise is open for 2026 – newest ship Vista will host the inaugural 180-day 2026 Around the World voyage. You can also book segments on the world cruise. Call Jeanette for details at 602-909-2000.

Celebrity continues with wonderful discounts of 75% for second guest and includes adult beverages.

Holland America includes adult beverages, $100 excursion credit per person, and one specialty dining event.

Viking has many ongoing offers, but call for details. Free excursion in each port. We always add a little on-board credit to their offers.

Princess has adult beverages and gratuities included in their Princess Plus offers.

Norwegian Cruise includes adult beverages, $50 shore excursion credit for each port, specialty dining, and 2 for 1 airfare.

Ocean Cruise includes free airfare with transfers; specialty dining; wine, beer, and champagne with lunch and dinner; sodas, water, and specialty coffee always included; and shore excursion credits from $200 to $500 per person.
