As the holiday season rapidly approaches, the Short Line Model Railroad Club would like to extend our best wishes to you all for a safe and joyous holiday season. It’s that time of the year when we all join together and share the finer things in life with our friends, families, and many visitors who come to enjoy our hospitality.

We would like to thank all those that stopped by to chat for a while during the recent Community Days held at several locations in the area. Many grew up in the era when model railroading was always big around this time of the year when layouts around the Christmas tree, or down in the basement were pretty common. As a club we really try to keep that alive for the youngster to see and also for those that have the interest to still stay involved. Our club is moving in a new direction to offer more for our members’ enjoyment by working on some new projects individually, and as a group. We’re always looking for new members who may be interested, and you are welcome to check us out. We meet at 9:00 a.m. on the second Saturday of the month.

Keep your calendars open as there are many opportunities for the public to see many of the model railroad layouts around the Valley and in the Sun Lakes area during the month. Dates haven’t been finalized at this time, but we will try and come up with the information as soon as the details become available.
