The Sun Lakes Country Club will host three directors from the Area Agency on Aging. The conference is scheduled for October 19, from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A three-member panel from Area Agency on Aging will share resources available to residents concerning transportation, Medicare, state health insurance and 24-hour Senior Help Line. A question and answer period will follow their presentation.

“The purpose of the conference is to familiarize elder residents of Sun Lakes with a variety of health services potentially useful to them,” said Mike Robinson of MAC.

“Health and Quality of Life is important, and today there are more new services and products available than ever before,” said Denis White of MAC (Member Assistance Club), the conference hosts. “MAC is a group of neighbors who look out for each other; we’re not an organization. We have been helping each other for over two years now and have developed quite a list of services, people and products that are useful. This is what led us to have a Health Conference and introduce the people at Area Agency on Aging.”

Alfredo Gonzalez, Director Bilingual Information, Senior Help Line; Marco Mendoza, Director SHIP Benefits Assistance Program; and Scott Hawthornthwaite, Director of Care Transitions and Information and Referral, all of the Area Agency on Aging, will be the panel of speakers for the conference.

Over 17 vendors will provide information about their company, lots of free gifts and raffles will be drawn toward the end of the conference. You can reserve seating at Administrative Office Services front desk. Admission is limited to 200.
