Sun Lakes resident Kenneth Nichols won the Championship at the National Senior Olympics in Table Tennis, which were held in Des Moines, Iowa, in August. Ken had qualified to play in previous years by winning the Arizona Senior Olympics in 2020-2022, but to play in this year’s Nationals, he had to requalify. He did so by winning the Minnesota Senior Olympics in 2024. Ken won first place in the National’s 90-95 age range category on Aug. 4, 2025. Ken was accompanied by his coaching son Scott Nichols, daughter-in-law Sarah Nichols, and spouse Ruthanne Strohn. Congratulations, Kenneth Nichols, National Senior Olympics Champion!
