A day full of interesting events is planned for our November 17 Shalom Hadassah meeting. The Oakwood Clubhouse, 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd., Sun Lakes, will house our annual Holiday Boutique in conjunction with our monthly meeting. Enjoy shopping from 10:30 a.m.-noon for Chanukah or other gift giving days, or just for yourself. Vendors include jewelry, purses, Origami owl and printed stationary, napkins and more. A portion of the proceeds supports Hadassah.

We break for a lovely optional lunch at $16 per person. Send lunch reservation check made payable to Hadassah to Ruth Friedman, The Renaissance, 9508 E. Riggs Rd., Sun Lakes 85248.

Our after lunch program is on the benefits of yoga. Yoga is a system of exercises for mental and physical health and philosophy that teaches a person to experience inner peace by controlling the body and mind. Dress casually as there will be an opportunity to try some of the simpler poses if you choose.

On Tuesday, December 8, a special trip to Western Spirit, Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, is planned. This includes a docent led tour of the special exhibit, “A Salute to the Cowboy Artists of America.” Also on view will be the Lewis and Clark Exhibit. What a wonderful way to connect with our southwestern heritage. This event is limited to 25 women so make your reservation early by sending a check made payable to Hadassah for $7 (for our Fun, Fundraiser) to Judi Josephson, 23625 S. Rosecrest, Sun Lakes 85248. Senior admission to the museum will be $11. The cut off reservation date is November 25.

Car pools will be arranged. We will stop for lunch at a nearby restaurant before returning home.
