Shalom Hadassah—A Shining Light

Joyce Spartonos, Publicity

Shalom Hadassah has scaled back its calendar for April in terms of number of events as compared to March. However, what Shalom may lack in quantity this month, it more than makes up for in excitement for our one and only event.

On Tuesday, April 14, from 2 to 4 p.m., Shalom Hadassah is hosting a Women’s Passover Seder at the home of Doris Codkind in Oakwood in Sun Lakes. The cost is only $18, and will be led by Barbara Silverman, along with readings by several others. However, the highlight of the Seder will be the guest speaker, Karolyn Benger, owner of KB Enterprise, a non-profit consulting firm located in Phoenix. Karolyn is a graduate of Emory University with a degree in Political Science and a specialization in the Middle East. She is passionate about interfaith dialogue, race relations, community relations between Jews and non-Jews, and is a dynamic speaker.

Karolyn is married to Rabbi Michael Beyo, and they have two sons.

Please contact Marsha at 480-802-8911 for reservations and full details.

Looking ahead to May, just a little teaser about what Shalom has planned—think Hollywood! We’ll have all the details next time.
