Hi Breakfast Lions. Well, it’s October and you know what that means; fall, Halloween, winter visitors coming back, cooler weather, three Open House opportunities to get new members and spaghetti!

Don’t forget the Open Houses on the first, second and fourth Saturdays of October. This is a great chance to promote the Breakfast Lions Club and organization. Contact Mac, Scully or Joe for information on manning our table.

October 11 is our Spaghetti Dinner, Silent Auction and Raffle. We are anticipating up to 500 plates being served, so mark your calendar for that date as we will need all of the Lions to help. The organizations, both local and international, are too numerous to list but all are worthy of the donations they receive through this fundraiser. If you have not done so, please contact Bob Scully to volunteer your services.

Once again, we will be manning the beverage booths at the Wild West Show in Peoria October 24th-26. Please contact Scully to sign up and get more info.

Congratulations to Lions Shelly O’Neill and Beth Young for receiving Medals of Merit from our District Governor Larry Palmer. Well done!

Remember, we are back to our normal schedule. Meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month in the Navajo Room starting at 8:00 a.m. We look forward to seeing you all there.
