SLUMC to host Palliative Care event

Banner Home Care and Hospice are hosting a free Palliative Presentation with Dr. Donato Dumlao, M.D. of Palliative Care with M.D. Anderson Cancer and Research and Raianne Melton-Hodges, RN, BSN, CHPN.

Palliative care (pronounced pal-lee-uh-tiv) is specialized medical care for people with serious illness. It focuses on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. The goal is to improve the quality of life for both the patient and the family. The presentation will be on November 9 at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church in Lindsay Hall located at 9248 E. Riggs Rd. Sun Lakes, AZ. 85248.

The program begins with coffee at 8:30 a.m., presentation at 9:00 a.m., along with a free lunch at 11:30 a.m.
