The Sun Lakes United Methodist Women will hold its annual Women’s Retreat on Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event will take place in Lindsay Hall at the Sun Lakes Methodist Church (SLUMC) located at 9248 East Riggs Road. The cost is $10 which includes the program, handouts, morning refreshments and lunch. Tickets may be purchased at the church office until 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2018.

Reverend Jean Newell and Bev Tarpley will lead this year’s program, Love is at the Heart of It! The study will look at how love is at the heart of our relationship with God and how we can be women who have a heart for God.

Pastor Jean Newell is the Associate Pastor at SLUMC. She has an extensive background in education, over 15 years in pastoral service and is a regular contributor to the Sun Lakes Splash. Co-leader Bev Tarpley is the Chairman of the Education Committee at SLUMC and a retired school superintendent.
