The Sun Lakes United Methodist Women (UMW) will hold a Rock-A-Thon and potluck luncheon on Wednesday, March 21, at noon. The event will take place in Lindsay Hall at the Sun Lakes Methodist Church (SLUMC), 9248 East Riggs Road (west of Robson Library).

Today, UMW is the largest women’s faith-based service and advocacy organization in the world and will celebrate 150 years of service next year. Their global mission is to provide life-changing opportunities for women, children and youth. Proceeds of the Rock-A-Thon will go into the 150 Legacy Endowment Fund to ensure continuation of their mission for the next 150 years.

The program also includes special guest, local estate planning attorney Becky Cholewka who will speak on “Defining Your Legacy by What You Leave Behind.” All women in the community are invited to this free, fun and educational event – just bring a dish to share. You can help raise money by sponsoring a rocker or simply making a contribution. Please RSVP to the church office at 480-895-8766 or [email protected]
