So, How Did It Go?

Election results aren’t likely to happen overnight in Arizona, but Sun Lakes Democratic Club (SLDC) members attending their Nov. 11 meeting can look forward to receiving an answer to the question on everyone’s mind: “So, how did it go?”

“We’re having tremendous participation by SLDC members, whether it’s writing postcards, helping with phone banks, or knocking on doors to communicate the values and beliefs that we feel create a state and country that works for everyone,” said SLDC President Cathy Hendricks. “I can’t thank our club members enough for helping to shape the outcome of this year’s election.”

Some of the candidates who were elected through the efforts of SLDC members and other Democrats, Independents, and disaffected Republicans will likely attend the Nov. 11 meeting to honor our veterans on Veterans Day and to thank club members for their hard work. Capping off all the election talk will be another election to vote on officers and board members for two-year terms. Any SLDC member can run for an officer or open board position, and all members are eligible to vote.

SLDC is made up of like-minded individuals, part of over 2,500 registered Democrats throughout Sun Lakes. We invite you to join us at 6:30 p.m. for a social with the meeting starting at 7 p.m. in the Navajo Room at the Sun Lakes Country Club, at 25601 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. N, in Sun Lakes.

We support Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank. Donations can be dropped off at the meeting or made online at matthewscrossing.org. You can receive a receipt for the dollar-for-dollar tax-deductible donation.
