The St. Steven’s Catholic Church’s Ladies Guild is holding its annual Women’s Retreat on Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Great Hall at St. Steven’s Church. The theme is “Living with Christ in the Present Moment.” Participants will spend the day reflecting on the importance of living with Christ in the present moment as they pause, slow down, and allow themselves to connect with the Lord, themselves, and others.
The speaker, Shelby Hawks, is an alumni of the Franciscan University and the University of Notre Dame where she studied theology and fell in love with the beauty of teaching and evangelizing. Ms. Hawks has been involved in ministry for the past several years, working in women’s ministry, youth ministry, and parish evangelization. Her passions include leading other women into a deeper relationship with the Lord, reminding others of their identity in Christ, and forming passionate, authentic disciples.
