Washington State Patio Party

We are just weeks away from the annual Washington Patio Party. We emailed the invitation/registration forms to existing participants a few weeks ago. It’s a fun, casual event. It gives you an opportunity to wear attire from Washington – like something to do with your favorite sport team or school, winery?? If you didn’t receive your invite and/or if you would like to participate in these festivities, please email us at [email protected] Please be sure to include your name, phone number and email address so we can add you to our list and send you the information. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Maxine Palmer at 480-802-3639 or Beth Derheim at 480-883-3448. All registrations to attend this event must be received by February 26, 2019.

The Washington Patio Party will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019. The festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. on the Palo Verde Patio with a social hour, a cash bar, then a BBQ dinner that includes grilled chicken and/or pulled pork, potato salad, coleslaw and for dessert we have brownies and lemon bars. Dinner will be followed by a raffle and door prize drawings, which will include gifts and gift cards for various Washington companies like Starbucks, Nordstrom, Costco, REI and Amazon! We had 250 participants last year, and we hope to beat that number this year. We hope you will join us!

Dakotas Patio Party

Steve Perkins

North Dakotans and South Dakotans and friends from Sun Lakes and surrounding areas are all invited to the annual North and South Dakota Party held at Palo Verde Country Club on Thursday, March 14.

It is a casual format, much like the 2018 patio party. We again have an event sponsor; Dakota-based Western State Bank with branches here in Arizona. We will have nice door prizes and lots of fun.

Please spread the word. To save money, we are only doing email mailings, so please make sure all your Dakota friends know about the party. We need your help! Please don’t assume everyone knows about it. Spread the word faster than Grandma’s country party line phone.

Cost is $15 per person and includes the buffet dinner. The event will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14. Tickets must be purchased in advance!

The drinks, well, other than Grandma’s coffee and “lemonade,” you just got to spend your own coins. That means it is a cash bar.

Don’t miss it! Act today to get a spot before those Canadians come across the border and grab your place. Ah, shucks, they can come too; everybody is welcome at a Dakota party.
