Nebraska

Sun Lakes Nebraskans who have received invitations to the annual Nebraska State Dinner are urged to sign up for the event by January 1, 2015. The event, featuring former Nebraska football coach Tom Osborne, will have limited seating. After January 1, reservations will be open to Phoenix Metropolitan Nebraska friends and supporters.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, February 28 at the Oakwood Country Club, will begin with a pre-dinner reception cocktail party beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Oakwood Poolside Café. A no-host bar will follow the cocktail party from 5:30-6:30 p.m. followed by the dinner. Proceeds from the reception will go to Osborne’s TeamMates Mentoring Program.

Tickets for the dinner are $45 per person or $150 for cocktail party including dinner.

Osborne was head coach at Nebraska for 25 years (1973-1997). He led Nebraska to National championships in 1994, 1995 and 1997. He also served as Nebraska Athletic Director and was elected to three terms as a U.S. representative from the Nebraska Third Congressional District. He also was selected to serve on the 2014 NCAA Championship selection committee.

Western New Yorkers

We have finalized our event for all Western New Yorkers. It will be at the Poolside Cafe on Wednesday, January 21 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The cost is $20 per couple and $10 per single. We will have abundant appetizers and prizes and a cash bar. Name tags will be provided.
