Have your friends gone back north? Is it getting too hot for tennis, pickleball or golf? Is the intense summer sun making you sleepy midway through the day?

Come inside with us and enjoy some new friends while moving, stretching and strengthening your body. Yes, we are still offering our therapeutic yoga classes through the summer. No, yoga is not some weird thing that only hippies do. More and more doctors are recommending it for its many scientifically-proven benefits! And yes, you can even do it sitting (Yoga with a Chair!) if that is better for you and your joints right now.

One of the reasons yoga is becoming more popular for all bodies and ages is because of the way we coordinate full, healthy breaths with our movement. It’s amazingly calming and healing. Plus, we move all parts of the body. Several of my students (I teach the Monday and Friday afternoon classes, plus both Wednesday classes — see below) have told me they are stronger, are keeping their balance better, are standing up straighter, raising their arms higher and even walking better. One new student, 93-year-old Gerry, showed me how she is no longer dragging her feet as she walks — after just THREE weeks of coming regularly!

Don’t let the heat of summer and northern migration of friends keep you from being active and feeling good over these next seven months. You do not need to book in advance, and you do not need props or equipment. Just bring $5 cash and walk right into a class that seems right for you.
