Are you looking for a new and exciting way to spend hot summer days? What a perfect time to check out New Adventures in Learning, classes for seniors. The classes have been offered at the corner of Riggs and Alma School since 1999 and are affiliated with the Chandler-Gilbert Community College. New classes start every week from June 1 to the middle of July. Whether you are a snowbird or a full-time resident come join in the fun.
If you are looking for a way to satisfy your love for learning, make new friends and increase your knowledge these classes are for you. Nearly 500 area seniors are members of New Adventures. Topics include history, science, finance, the arts and more. Classes are non-credit and there is no homework. Some classes meet once, others meet more often and some include field trips and roundtable discussions.
New Adventures is an all volunteer organization supported by its members. Annual dues are $50 per year, which permits members to register for as many courses as they wish. There is an additional $15 college registration fee for each semester in which a member is actually enrolled in classes.
