Those crafty Sun Lakers are at it again. The Sun Lakes Arts and Crafts Association Annual Fall Show will be held on Saturday, November 25, with over 50 venders showcasing their unique handmade crafts and artwork. The show will take place at the Sun Lakes Country Club Phase 1 (25601 N. Sun Lakes Blvd.) from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. Craft shows are a great place to find unique Christmas gifts, while at the same time supporting local artists and purchasing American-made items.
The Sun Lakes Arts and Crafts Association is a group of Sun Lakes residents interested in arts and crafts. For over 30 years, the association has been hosting annual craft shows that provide members the opportunity to sell their unique and original handcrafted items to the public. Membership is limited to residents of Sun Lakes. Non-resident relatives and friends of residents are not eligible for membership, nor can they participate in the arts and craft shows. Meetings are held the second Monday of January and October at the Sun Lakes Country Club at 10:00 a.m.
To participate as a vendor in our annual shows, you MUST be a member of the association. No outside vendors are permitted, and no commercial products are allowed. Members must personally handcraft all items sold at the craft shows. Application forms for the shows are available on our website, www.slaca.net, as a pdf file. Sign-up for the annual shows occurs at the general meetings in January and October. Membership in the Association runs from January to January, and membership dues are $10/year.
The Spring Show will be held at Oakwood on Saturday, March 31, 2018. Sign-up for the show will be at the January 8, 2018, meeting.
Visit the association’s website at www.slaca.net for more club information, including show and meeting dates.
