The Sun Lakes Arts and Crafts Association Annual Meeting was held on Monday, January 9, at Sun Lakes Phase 1. Members were able to renew their memberships and sign up for the Associations Spring Show, which will be held on Saturday, March 25, at Oakwood Country Club from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The association elected a new president, Rich Wiley, and a new vice-president, Bobbi Luisi. Treasurer Nickie Wegner and Secretary Kathy Wilson will continue in their positions. Thanks to outgoing president Pat Nicholaisen for all her hard work during her term as president.

There will be a late sign-up for the Spring Show. Members can mail in their forms (available on the associations website – www.slaca.net ), or Show Chairperson Carol Silberstein will be at the Oakwood Country Club from 10:00 a.m. until noon on March 11 for late sign-up. The deadline for the Spring Show sign-up is March 13.

You must be a member of the Sun Lakes Arts and Crafts Association to participate in the association’s crafts shows, and members must be Sun Lakes residents. Items for sale at the show must be handcrafted by the member. Items made by family members or friends not residing in Sun Lakes are not permitted, and no commercial resale products are allowed.

Just a reminder to members—the display case at Sun Lakes Phase 1 is updated on the first Monday of the month at 9:00 a.m. by Vel Boardman (phone 480 895 5028). Members are invited to bring their items for display and to pick up items from the previous month. The display case is a great place to showcase your talents and make people aware of what will be offered at the Spring and Fall shows.
