The awards potluck was a huge success! Members enjoyed fried chicken, furnished by the club, along with a wide variety of salads and desserts brought by our members. It is sad to have the session end and wait until the end of October to start again, because we thoroughly enjoy the camaraderie with all the players!

We also enjoyed the annual Fun with Friends Tournament on March 27. This year it was men versus women, and there was a lot of bantering between the sexes. In the end, the men won and the ladies would like to see another challenge next year!

Sun Lakes Bocce Club also hosted the Senior Games Bocce Ball match, which was held on April 3 at Sisk Park. Thirty-two competitive players joined in on the fun, and Jeff Blankenship took first place.

If you are interested in joining the club, remember, our website sunlakesbocceclub.com contains all the information you need to know about the club, including our By-Laws, Club Play, How it Works, and the Rules of the Game. Please take the time to review the website!

As always, all new players to the game, or those who require it, can request instruction from our Training Committee by sending an email to the attention of the membership director at [email protected].

Reminder: Sun Lakes Bocce Ball Club members play at Sisk Park, not to be confused with Sun Lakes Country Club Bocce Ball Club that plays at Oasis Park!
