The November meeting of the Sun Lakes Card Makers will be held on Nov. 20. This November meeting is always devoted to our annual calendar page exchange. Each member selected a month of the year and designed a calendar page for that month. At the November meeting, we bring multiple copies of our month, one for each member, and exchange them with each other. The goal is to go home with a complete calendar for the coming new year. Each new month has its own page, and usually there is ample room for important notes and date reminders like birthdays and holidays. It’s always lots of fun to see what the other members have designed.
The Card Makers meet on the third Wednesday of each month year round in the Arts & Crafts Room of Sun Lakes Phase 1 at 1 p.m. Our group usually meets for lunch at 11:30 a.m. on the same day, at the Phase 1 grill, for visiting and exchanging ideas. Lunch together is fun, but it is always an option.
If you love making greeting cards and are not a beginner, come by during a meeting, which begins at 1 p.m. New members are always welcome, and we have no dues. A different member hosts each meeting and brings card kits for the other members to assemble and take home. It’s loads of fun!
