Sun Lakes Charities was pleased to donate a check in the amount of $3,000 to a great organization, the American Service Animal Society located in Chandler, furthering their ability to help nearly 100 veteran/dog teams develop critical life skills. At their facility, the teams work to master skills such as door and drawer opening tasks, light switch and automatic button manipulation, hearing, balance and retrieval skills, shopping assistance and social interaction opportunities in restaurants, parks, public transportation venues and a host of other challenges.

Gerad and Debbie Claseman, the developers of this fine organization, state that they are not only training the veterans and dogs in the training facility but around the community as well. The veterans and dogs take field trips to museums, restaurants, malls, botanical gardens, ball games, airports and many other places enabling the veterans to learn to maneuver through day to day life with their service dog.
