After a brief holiday break, the Sun Lakes Chorale is back to weekly rehearsals. We have a stack of songs to learn (or relearn) to be ready for our next concert, which is in March.
Thank you to all who attended our Holiday Concert. We sang to a full house, which is always gratifying after all the hours of practice we put in. From the comments heard from various attendees, it was a really good concert, maybe one of our best. We appreciate all of you who attended. Your support means a lot to us.
For those who attended, you know that one of our members fainted and was taken away by ambulance. She is home and is recovering. We wish her well and hope for a full, speedy recovery.
We will be practicing, but we will take one evening off to have our annual dinner—venue to be decided. It is such a good time for our members to mingle. We might even get to meet members we never get to see, depending on where we sit during practice. Spouses and significant others are welcome to this dinner, and we look forward to a fun, relaxing evening and meal.
Practices are leading up to a concert on Thursday, March 26, at the usual place—Sun Lakes United Methodist Church. As in the past, more information will be available in upcoming issues of the Splash and SunBird News.
Again, thank you all for your support and praise. It is part and parcel of what keeps us coming back. We hope your new year is off to a good start, and we will see you in March.
