The Sun Lakes Chorale members are all enjoying a break of several months. Our last get together was a board meeting on March 30 at which time we held our annual meeting at the Sun Lakes Country Club. This is the meeting where we enjoy a cup of coffee with some cookies and visit with our fellow singers. We cover last year’s annual minutes; have elections for board members for the upcoming year; reports from the president and director; and give those present an opportunity to discuss new ideas for the next season as well as any comments about the previous year and the two concerts that were held. The mood is always very congenial and it helps end the season on a good note—pardon the pun.
Regarding board members, this year’s election was held and the following members were elected or re-elected for the 2026-27 season:
President, Yvonne Orlich, Vice President, Beth Wyman, Recording Secretary, Karen Sproates, Treasurer, Dan Morson, Corresponding Secretary, Jana Duckett, Members at Large—Jay Horshorin and David Mork, Consultant Kit Carlton.
Rob Swanson will again be with us as the director for another year of new and re-purposed music. The concert dates were established—Dec. 10, Holiday Concert, and April 1, 2027, Spring Concert. Both concerts promise great entertainment! We hope to see many of you there.
